Art can leave traces that you want to follow through time and space. This summer we are following the trail of art to Bolzano, Erlangen's twin city. Under the title Tracce / Spuren, the exhibition shows works by 14 artists from the Bolzano region. They are all members of the two local artists' associations: Südtiroler Künstlerbund and Associazione degli Artisti della Provincia autonoma di Bolzano.

The title of the exhibition not only refers to the trail to Bolzano, but is also reflected in the works on display. They deal with the search for traces, traces in the memory, the imagination, but also traces in nature. The works on display range from painting, drawing and photography to sculptures and conceptual works. The selection of artists attempts to reflect the current trends in the art scene active in and around Bolzano in all its breadth. The occasion for the exhibition is the partnership between the cities of Erlangen and Bolzano, which was established in 2018.
